Arts Festival Celebrating Creativity
at the Heart of the Community
I trained as a secondary school English Teacher in France. I am also an author who has written a novel for young adults and illustrated story books for young children. Over the course of my teaching career I have worked with more than 600 children aged 5 to 18 across schools in France and in the UK.
Born a stone’s throw away from Avignon, I grew up fascinated by the world beyond. The sight of the broken bridge across Le Rhône river was a constant reminder that if you don’t look after your surroundings, it decays and becomes dysfunctional. It applies equally to our environment and our historical heritage and makes us who we are. This is an essential component that defines each of my artworks.
As an only child, I sought friends wherever I could and I was always looking for meaning in things around me. When I moved to Waterbeach a few years ago, a village where modernity and history exist side by side, I discovered the bridge I wanted to re-build.
